February 2026 was one of Merkl's most feature-dense months yet.
From private infrastructure for both users and protocols, to new chains, new protocol integrations, and a series of high-profile incentive campaigns, February shipped across the board.
MegaETH joined the list of supported chains. MetaMask distributed $LINEA rewards to Season 1 participants. And Merkl introduced a major privacy feature: private campaigns for protocol teams, but also private transfers for anyone who wants to move funds onchain discreetly.

Spectra finance MetaVaults: campaign creators can now distribute rewards to users who deposit into Spectra MetaVaults, directly from Merkl Studio.
Self protocol: Merkl now supports human-only campaign gating through Self Protocol's identity layer.
f(x) protocol: fxUSD mint activity can now be incentivized on Merkl.
February shipped meaningful updates on both sides of the platform.
Merkl now lets anyone transfer tokens to another address privately, onchain, with no fees, no account, and no KYC required.
Transfers are processed through Merkl's existing distribution infrastructure and arrive within approximately 8 hours. Recipients collect their funds directly from the Merkl App, just like they would claim any reward.
Because all transfers are pooled through the same Merkl contract, the onchain transaction only shows that tokens came from Merkl, not the identity of the sender or the specific transfer. This makes transfers hard to trace without requiring any additional tooling.
It is now possible to sort and filter opportunities on the Merkl App by start date or end date. This makes it easier to anticipate what is coming next, catch campaigns before they end, or plan entries around specific timelines.
All reward campaigns on Merkl can now be set as private from the start in Merkl Studio.
Private campaigns do not appear in the Merkl App and are hidden from the API. Campaign creators can optionally whitelist specific addresses to grant visibility.
Campaigns kept private are still processed onchain, but the scale of Merkl's distribution infrastructure works in their favor. Every campaign on Merkl, whether public or private, sends funds to the same contract. That contract pools tokens from hundreds of protocols, chains, and wallets, and distributes them gradually as users claim. When a user claims tokens, the onchain transaction only shows that the funds came from Merkl. It does not reveal which campaign funded the transfer, making further tracing effectively impossible.
No more downloading files to save your work. Batch configurations can now be saved directly in a Merkl Studio session and resumed at any time, without losing progress between work sessions.
A batch can now be copied and shared instantly with a teammate. They can import the configuration directly into their own Merkl Studio session and recreate the exact same setup, with no manual rework required.
Campaign creators can now blacklist or whitelist addresses based on whether their balance of a given token is above or below a defined threshold, measured on a time-weighted basis.
The threshold logic prevents gaming: a simple token-based blacklist could be exploited by sending dust amounts to addresses to force them out of eligibility.
Campaign templates in Merkl Studio can now be shared via a direct link. This makes it easier to collaborate with teammates or hand off a campaign setup without exporting files.
A Renew button is now available in Merkl Studio before a campaign expires. Campaign creators can prepare the renewal in advance and avoid any gap in reward distribution.
February 2026 was a significant month for Merkl. Privacy infrastructure arrived on both sides of the platform, MegaETH came online, and a set of practical tools made campaign management easier for protocol teams.
