Merkl has been the go-to incentive platform for EVM chains since day one. Today, that changes. Merkl now supports non-EVM chains, starting with Stellar.
Protocols on Stellar can now run incentive campaigns through Merkl, and users can earn rewards directly on Stellar.
Merkl goes beyond EVM
Until now, Merkl was available on 60+ chains, all EVM-compatible: Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Mantle, Plasma, Katana, and many others. Protocol teams could launch incentive campaigns in minutes, distribute rewards to any onchain activity, and manage everything from Merkl Studio. Yield farmers and liquidity providers could browse opportunities, deposit, and claim across all supported chains from a single app.
That coverage was already broad. But every chain on the list shared the same architecture: EVM-compatible, Solidity-based, Ethereum-aligned.
Starting today, Merkl supports non-EVM chains. Stellar is first.
Stellar is different. It runs its own virtual machine, its own account model, its own transaction format. Supporting it required extending Merkl's infrastructure beyond its original scope, not just adding a new chain entry but opening a new category entirely.
It is the first step toward making Merkl the incentive layer for every blockchain, regardless of architecture.
What this means in practice
For protocols on Stellar, and on every non-EVM chain we add next, nothing changes about how Merkl works. You can create incentive campaigns for any activity you want to reward: liquidity provision, lending, token holding, trading volume. You set the rewards, define the eligibility rules, and Merkl handles distribution. All from Merkl Studio.
For users, the experience is the same as on any other chain. Browse live opportunities by filtering by chain on the Merkl App. If you are eligible for rewards, they appear automatically in your dashboard when you connect a compatible wallet. Claim in one transaction.
One thing to keep in mind: each non-EVM chain requires its own compatible wallet. Standard EVM wallets will not work. On Stellar, for example, you will need to connect a Freighter wallet to earn rewards or launch campaigns in Merkl Studio.
The first campaigns on Stellar will be live soon. Browse live opportunities on the Merkl App and filter by chain to find them.
What comes next
Stellar is the starting point, not the destination. More non-EVM chains are coming to Merkl.
